Artist's Statement:  "Painting for me is a very intense physical experience.  I use brushes, palette knives and my hands. It seems that I wear as much paint as I get onto the surface I'm painting on.  My painting style is intense, often a rapid completion but not always.  I use a heavy impasto amount of paint which can remain or is scraped off to leave the ghost of what was before.  My work is about color, energy - it's bold and strong.  It's a personal statement about how I live my life."
