Kenny McCage
Metal Art, Garden Sculpture

Kenny McCage is a self-taught artist. He learned to weld in the U.S. Navy in his early twenties. He worked in the Oklahoma Oilfields and in industry for years before becoming a Fireman. McCage has worked for the Norman Fire Department of Oklahoma for 22 years. Using his welding skills to make art created a great balance to the high stress job of being a First Responder.

McCage’s studio is located in the country just south of the City of Norman, where he works outside most of the year, amidst free-range cattle, dogs, cats, wildflowers and wind. His work is structurally influenced by Industry but inspired by the nature that surrounds him. His major artistic influences are David Smith and Alexander Calder.
